Interruption to self service tonight

Our library system suppliers are carrying out essential maintenance around 10pm tonight, which may mean that self service machines become unavailable.

***

If the self-service machines are not working, please use the grey return bins outside the main entrance to the library to return books. You can renew items via the online catalogue. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Pilot of 24-hour opening

The whole library is now open 24 hour a day. This is currently a trial, running until 18 May.

***

You will be able to access the whole of the main collection of books, DVDs and audio recordings 24 hours a day, and be able to take items out as usual, using the self-issue machines. You will also be able to use the computers on the 1st and 2nd floor.

The 2nd floor will remain reserved for quiet study, and normal restrictions on food will apply (i.e. no hot food). Library and I.T. staff will not be available out-of-hours, but security staff will be on duty.

Remember to renew over Easter

This year, Easter vacation is from 2nd to 22nd April. If you are going away, please remember to renew your items.

***

You can renew online, by telephone or via the Self-Service machines in Fountains. If you have any difficulty, please call in and speak to staff at the QuestionPoint, or contact us by phone (01904 876700) or email (libraryqueries@yorksj.ac.uk). 7-day loans will not automatically be extended, so please make sure that you remember to renew in order to avoid fines.
