Michael Rosen, the Children's Laureate, is coming to the University to give a free talk and reading on 15 October.

Michael Rosen is one of the best-known figures in the children's book world, renowned for his award-winning work as a poet, performer, broadcaster and scriptwriter. His writing includes novels, non-fiction, picture books, retold classics and stories from other cultures and poetry, including the ground-breaking collection of You Can't Catch Me which won the Signal Poetry Award.
Michael's recent publications illustrate the range of his output and interests and include books about Shakespeare and Dickens and a Selected Poems published by Penguin. He is currently writing a biography of Roald Dahl, also for Penguin. He will be talking about his writing and the place of children's literature in education. After his talk there will be an opportunity to meet Michael and buy signed copies of his books.
